Mr C.'ow, who was a m«n<b«r of the oxpedrtiun which left Wellington on Sept. 7 in the schooner Eiirnia Sims to endeavour to recover the bullion which went down in the Elingamite oIT the "Three Kings," has returned to Wellington. The schooner is an her way back to Wellington. Mr Clew reports that the expedition failed in its objects. Bad weather , wnsi experienced almost continuously, ami several wcoks were spent in zig-zagging about in various directions. Only once did they get near the wreck, and then 1 the sea was too heavy to permit of anything being done. They found hundreds of goats on the ''Great King," and myriads of sea birds nestinjr on the cliffs.
