DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER.
(Per Press Association.) INVERCARI!(LL, Oct. 12. Charles Rout, who had resided at Invercargill for the past forty-two years, died this morning) of pneumonia. He had for many years been Assignee in bankruptcy for tlio Southland district,; also, secretary, of the High Schools Hoard and of the liivercargillf Chamber '.of Comniei'ce.
