At a meeting of the Wellington Probincial Executive to-day, the President reported on the ' correspondence in connection with the Harvester Trust, and his 'being interviewed by the representatives of the ■manufacturers, and he also refenvd to the proposed conference. Alter a lengthy discussion, the following resolution was passed—"That while there is no wish to refuse to attend the proposed confer ' ence, or have representatives present, this executive considers that sufficient. notice has not been given of the intention to hold a conference ; that the subjects for discussion have not been formulated, and that there is no basis of representation ; and until these matters are decided any conference .would be premature."-
