Business: was brisk, and the policy of. piovid- , ing entertaining programmes both in the afUrnocn and evening is relish ■ ed. I'atimis were treated to some at- : listic pianola selections in (lie af- i teinoon. Tile Garrison band, under Bandmaster NcComiell,. turned cut in the evening, and played a few well selected pieces at opening ttfmo. At a later stage a much appreciated programme of instrumental music was rendered by Mr E. A. Golding's orchestra, the performers being Messrs McConnell (cornet), R. J. Dearc (flute), H. Salt and Blanchett (violins), Flatt (euphonium), and Golding (piano). A we'l eottccivpd and excellently carried out waxworks show, with living figures, was a welcome novelty. The display was arranged bv Miss' Godfrey. The humorous always appeals to the populace, hence the applause which greeted a catchy farce, entitled I A Penny i„ the Slot," which Was fi'T T IU ! Co " si,l "-AWe histrionic I skill and abandon bv Messrs J McClarke, and R. G. Stott. The Maypole dances, competitions etc pleasantly filled in |], e evening.'
