A number of other practice contests were held, ami the good form shown all round promises some exciting eonllsts when the competitions are started shortly. I'rior to the boxing a special mceting of the Association was held. Mr W. L. Fitzherbcrt presiding, ■Messrs George Grey and J. Cody were elected as additional members of Ihe committee. Mr Waters was appointed treasurer, in addition to holding ihe .secretaryship, and Mr A. H. Staiidi.sh auditor. It was decided to register the Association under the Unclassified Societies Act t as nx,Hired by law when* penults lor competitions are desired. Ihe Association adopted the Wellington Association's general rules, and the New Zealand Association competition i tiles. It was agreed that the colours he black and white.
