Thomas Watson, who had pleaded guilty in the i Lower Court to a charge of stealing a horse at Ashburton on Sept. 29, was sentenced to five years' imprisonment hy Jus-, tico Deiiniston this" morning-. The prisoner had been convicted of various offences five times •during the last six years.
