Political Notes
On Tuesday evening Mr 0, 'Tisch addressed a meeting of electors at Bell Block. Mi S. Rundlc presided, and there were about forty persons present, including several ladies. The candidate, in his speech, introduced several new subjects which he had not previously spoken upon, Mr TisCh was accorded a good reception, and answered a number of questions at the close oi the address. On the motion of Mr Wilson, he was accorded a hearty vote of .thanks, a similar compliment being accorded to the chairman.
Mr C. E. Elcllriirger addressed a meeting of electors at Warca on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance, including a larger proportion of ladies than usual. Mr McLachlan (President of the Farmers' Union) was voted 10 the chair. The candidate, in the course of his address, dealt specially with the Maof, W\nd question, advocating the individualising of native land titles. Mr Bollringcr. whose speech was well repeived, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, on the motion, of Mr Burgess, who remarked that lie was very pleased to hear the views of a town candidate soiinuch in accord with those held by the fanners. The chairman was thanked for presiding. Mr Fisher.addressed the electors at Wellington last night, ami received a good hearing. The following is the Duncdin Labour ticket :—Central, Millar ; South, Arnold-; North, Itercray ; Chalmers, Allen, Sidey was recommended to Caveishapi electors. Mr Downie atuarl, son of a former member, received a good hearing at Morning-ton (Duncdin South) last night. lie declared himself an Oppositionist,
