A sequel to the police scandal came before the Supreme Court to-day, when .lustice Williams was called on to hear an interpleader suniimons, in the form of »)U 'application 'by Detvctivo llerberl, tkat the claimants (or the, goods-which, were,lalien from the houses of ex-Constables MacDonahl, Moses, ami Quill should appear and state particulars -of their claims.
After hearing evidence, h s Honour made an order that certain articles claimed by Moses and MacDonahl belonged to the D.I.C. Co. He.made an order I'lial Detective Herbert receive four guineas costs and disbursements \ charged from articles that. Quill received, and a guinea costs as against tho D.I.C. ; and that the. D.I.C. were entitled to two guineas costs as 'against MucDonald and Moses separately, and against them jointly they were also entitled to costs For any amount paid to the| detective's costs.
