Competition Between Steamer Companies Bright Outlook for Dairy Prodncers (Per Press Association.) DUNEDLY, Sept. 19. Thc Daily Times, in 'its commercial columns, says there appears to be a likelihood of competition between the rival shipping companies for this season's dairy produce for the English market. A contract'has 'been arranged with the Slvaw, Savill and Albion and .New Zealand Shipping Companies by the National Dairy Associations * of'both Islands, providing for the carriage of butter at live-eighths of a penny per pound, and cheese st a halfpenny. A fortnight ago it was announced tliat tho companies wou d likely 1 reduce the butter freight to a half-penny. Th* Federal, S'lvire, and' Houlder lines, with a direct] monthly service ta West of England ports, 'have itvlima-
