On the Egmont roll of electors to dale there arc 2015 more names than on the purged roll in 1903. Tbc numijcr will be further increased. There arc four candidates mentioned for the Egmont scat- Mr Jennings, the present member, will, of course, :be a candidate. Mr C. Leech, who polled so well at the last sensational election, has announced himself again. Other candidates arc Mr H. O. Campbell, who addressed a meeting at Midbirst recently, and Mr F, Thomson, a commercial traveller, who is mentioned as the prohibition nominee. A Blenheim telegram states that the main electoral roll for the district of Wairau is now complete. It contains 5077 names, an advance ol 61)8 011 the total of the roll used at the last election. Mr U. C. Rc|)bins, a candidate for the Hawera seat, addressed a meeting there on Wednesday night. He announced that he was standing in the Opposition interests. Mr Thomas McGib'bon is a candidate for Mataura. iio is opposed to the Government and a supporter of the freehold. Mr J. J. Khvin will deliver apolitical address in the Tli.'atre Royal this evening at 8 o'clock. On Monday evenini; Mr C. T. Mills addressed a large gathering of elcctr ors at the Omata Hall, Mr Alfred George presiding. The candidate was cordially received, and at the conclusion of his speech was unanimously accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. The following evening Mr Mills was to have spoken at the Westown Hall, but owing to tlie somewhat small attendance in consequence 01 the inclemency of the weather, those present agreed to a postponement of the address until a more favourable evening.
