Alleged Employing to Murder.
WATT'S DEFEKCE (Received Sept. 24, 4 40 p.ro;) LONDON, Sept. 23. Hugh Watt called a witi ets named Battle to testify that after seeing Watt leave No. 5 Regent Street, London, he saw two others emerge and overheard a conversation, One said: "Be care« ful, Marshall, how you go about it." The other, who lesemb'.ed Marshall, replied ! " Have no fear; noboJy will believe Watt, I will lake it out cf him. You finish the statement you commenced yesterday, and keep a copy, or we are done." (vVattwas charged with trying to employ Private Detective Marshall to murder his (Watt's) wife.)
