Hoard's surfaceman reported that Air K lloskin's gravel pit had been lelt in- an unsatisfactorv condition -b,v the contractor. It Was decided that some of the members inspect the pit. ami that the sum of £!, | re withheld till they report on the same. The special order levying thv rate in the hvereU Road special rating district was confinm-d. The surfaceman was ■directed to take up t|ie metal on th»j hill on'the west side of -t'hv new bridge at Sentry Hill, and re-grade same. 'h'' clerk was (lireeled to tlraw up specilications for metalling the Worthy Hoad, tenders to be in bv next tn«vUng. The Chainnaiij aii'd Mr French were : appointi'd to attend the next meeting' of the Taranaki County Council and endeavour to arrange regarding 1 the subsidy for deviating! the Te Arei Hoad. It was moved that the members, of the Hoard inspect the district roads on the lolloMin-g Wednesday, meeting at Huirangi.
