The Genlburn-Sydnej Road Race Arast Lews tie Recwd (KeCuivcd Sept. 16, 8.12 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 16. Of tho 103 acceptors for the Goul-burn-Sydney road race, 87 started, including 12 New Ztaalanders. The weather was fine end the roads tgiood, tho arrangements for refreshments for the competitors being excellent. Large crowds watched tho progress of the race at various stages. Robinson, of Cooma, was the winner. With 55 minutes' stnrt, he co-. vered the journey of 131 miles in G hours 41 minutes actual riding time. He 'got in front between Jlossvale and llicton, and held the lead to the I finish, Orr, Sydney, was second, with 30 minutes' start. The scratch men were never darcgercusi the long markers having tho race in hand before the final stages were reached. J. Arnst, who finished 1 15th, made tho fastest time, 0 hours 85J minutes, lowering the record for the journey by 01 mliiutes, Foiip of the other New Zkralanders were prominent at the finish,
