Useful 'heavy'draughts kept their value, and tire selling at from £2B to £39 10s ; medium do., £IC 5s to £26 15s ;ehacks and light harness horses, £7 10s to £2l ; weeds, £2 2s 6d to £4 10s. A Cortland waggon brought £32. At Papakura on Wednesday theru was a large muster ot stock, 1182 being yarded, among-st them 19G dairy cows. Prices of all descriptions of stock, with the exception of the dairy cattle, which sold at late rates, showed a slight improvement. Dairy cows sold at £3 5s to £8 10s ; heifers, £4 to £8 2s Gd ; empty cows, £1 15s to £3 10s ; calves, 18s to £1 19s ; two to three-year-old steers £2 ,19s 'to '£si 10s ■; g,i'o ( wn' stoersj, £4 10s to £7 10s ; beet at Newmarket rates,

Ca'ttle.—At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy cows and stores were yarded in usual numbers. Trices for cows at their profit ranged from £4 7s C«1 to £8 ; empty Mo., £1 16s to £3 10s ; calves, £1 2s to £1 ss. Fat cattle were yarded in scarcely average numbers, nnd met a brisk sale at improved rates, oxen selling up to 124s per 10011), cow 17s to 225. Steers sold front £6 10s to £ll 7s 6d : cows, £-1 5s to XB.
