The Shops and Offices Bill was recommitted,, EVENING SITTING. The, House resumed at 7.30 p.m. The Shops and Offices Bill was further considered in committee. Clause 3A was lengthily discussed, and was eventually amended to provide for the non-employment of assistants after 6 p.m., on week days, and 11 p.nu on Saturday in the four cities, leaving the hours for non-employment of assistants in all other districts to be; fixed under section' 21 of the original Act by requisition by a three-nfths> majority.
