The Trades Union Congress at Hanley adopted a resolution declaring the time is ripe for great efforts on the part of organised labour, directed firstly to obtaining increased representation in Parliament. The congress expressed appreciation of King Edward's and President Roosevelt's efforts on behalf of peace
