Mr Burgess said the Crown Dairy Company had dono more for the district than *ny other throughout Taranaki, Mr a "• Shaw replied, after which a special toast, "Mr Newton King", was honoured. In speaking t, O the toast, "Tha Fanners Union," Mr Shaw said the organisation was a) power i n tho - land, and would be a still greater power when farmers learnt., better the value of organisation. He hoped the joung men would follow the ad* vice given them, and tnkc more intZh f Ub! i c affails - coupled with the toast the name of Mr Elwin, who had done a great deal for the Union.
