(Received Aug. 30, 1d..'!.") p.m.) LONDON, Aug. .-ill. Thomas W. Lawson. of Boston, Massachusetts, is inviting subscriptions to an Anglo-American copiwr pool of two millions sterling. He and his associates are holding threefifths. Lawson predicts a sensation al fall in prices. The programme, says the Daily Chronicle, is to bear operations on a colossal scale.
Kockfeller, who backs the Amalgamated Copper Company, is credited with holding twenty millions to combat such attempts as Lawson's.
