I The Assembly, appointed a Select | Committee to inquire into a statement made publicly by tho Rev. Woolls Rutledgc that Mr Hall, Acting Statistician, was unable to obtain re-employment in tho Publie Service until he joined the Catholic Church, and that immediately upon his doing so he was re-employed at a salary of £IOOO a year.
