Three milkmen, charged with having sold impure milk, were fined by, the Magistrate, In the case of one,' who had purchased the milk from another dairyman, a fine of one shilling was inflicted, the Magistrate pointing out, however, that apparatus for testing milk could be .obtained at a trifling cost. In the other cases defendants were fined £3 and £2 respec-. tivcly.
