the following are tho results of tho third round of the local club's Men's Championship :_Ceci! Wright beat Scott. 1 up and i ; Mannering beat Morgan, 2up ftm ] i , W ard beat Addenbroke at tho 20th hole by 1 up • W, C. Weston beat A. Slandish. 4 up nnd 2.
The following remain to play .in tho semi-final of the Club Championship -Mannering to play Wright, and Weston to play Word. Tho play off for tho third round of the championship between Ward and Addcnbroke provided a very excltlnj game, the issue not being settled until the twentieth nolo, when Addonbroke lost the match by missing n nine inch putt. Ward thoroby won by 1 up. Quito a number of enthusiasts witnessed the game. On Saturday last a bogey match was played on the local links for Mr Maunering's prize.
Scott won tho competition, being 8 down on bogey. Johns and K. Dayley were next, with 5 down. Nine others competed.
