DUNEDIN, Aug. 22. 1 At a meeting of tho newly-formed Prison Keformi Society, the following resolutions were passed this Society strongly approves of the indeterminate scntcnoe, provided at the samo time that special refonnai l-ory treatment is provided!, for all who, in the opinion of the; Judgo, shall be made the subject of it; afeo that the Society approves of the proposal to allow a prisoner, or ihoso dependent upon him, a reasonable proportion of his eamnrngfe while in gaol; that the Society strongly approves of tho proposal embodied in the Juvenile Offenders Bill for the trial of juveniles privately.
