Classification of Teachers.
Auklud Inspectors' Report. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Au K . 9. At a meeting o! the Board of Education, the Waßgajnui Board's resolution on the basts of the a pa.vment of teachers was considered. The in spectors reported that "The resolution in question n« so condensed and olrscure that the inspectors hove not been able to frain any clear idea of thr arrangements it is intended to recommend. TTwre is, however, sub styintinl agreement as to the two following points—(l) Grading or clasMftcation as at present arranged could not be made to form a satisfactory basis for fixing salaries of teachers. (2) The inspectors aj>prove of the fixing of p rninimuii. salary for t«ach grade or classification as a means of checking serious redactions in Nalary consequent on dec'Hng att4*ndnnces at particular schools.
