Unsuccessful Arctic Relief Ship
(Received Aug. 8, 10.9 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 8. Dr. Fassig, Commander of Uic relief ship in connection with the Zieler Arctic expedition, reported on July 21 that he bad discovered no trace of the expedition at Shannon Island. (Mr Zieler headed an American expedition which leit Kew York in 1903 by the Franz Josef route. Two successive attempts at relief have failed, owing to unfavourable ice and weather conditions. The expedition is, however, well prepared for an enforced detention.)
