The China Navvgation Company s steamer Cbangsha, which arrived at Sydney from the Far Ea-st recently, brings, says the Sydney Morning HeraW, the news that the captain and olber officers of the ISritistt .steamship Oldbamia, had an ciciting experience at the great naval battle between Russia and Japan. The 01(1•bamia, it will be remembered, was sunk bv the Russians somo time hefore tie now historic engagement, but the whereabouts of (he officers was not definitely known. It subsequently transpired tnat they were transfrrnd to r.-nc of the Russian warships which participated in the battle. The warship in question was [eventually captured as a prize by the Japanese, aiid Captain Moore, the commander oi the rhaKssha, says that the EnsHslnwn were delighted when they fell into the hands of their allies. The officers of the Oldhamia were conveyed to the Japanese naval base at Sasebo, and arrangements were made when the Changsha was in the East for the /officers to proceed to their homes.
