RECORD EGG LAYING.
(Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Aug. 6. in We New Zealand egg laying competition the total for the fourteenth week is 2166. This brings the aggregate to 1-4,899, and the weekly average to 21 3-sth eggs. Mr Leger's White Leghorns, from Levin, still lead, with 30 for the week and an air, grogate of 37?, Mr Brookes' White Leghorns, from South Australia, are Wlth 25 anfl ' m - Mr Draper's Bufi Leghorns passed into third place to Mi 29 and ?73. The first prize for July monthly results was won fey MrLeger, with 139, Marl-borough A. and P. Association second with 136' On July SI, which completed the first three calendar months, Mr Leger was leading with 35G and Brookes second with 330. These figures compare more than favourably with those cd Hawkesbury College, where 3>» were recorded by -tte leading pen at the end o! the same period.
