The -death of Mr James Pook, a pioneer of the Feil-ding district, where be resided for some thirty years, is reported to -have taken taken place on the 2(lt-h ult. Mrs James F. Lepine, of New Plymouth, is a -daughter of the deceased. Consequent upon the death in England of his cousm. Mr Warwick Morjsliead, Mr E. T. Morslwad, of New I Plymouth, succeeds to the baronetcy,' as Sir E. T. Morshead. The baronetcy was created in 1784. The late baronet, who succeeded to the title in 1828, was formerly a captain in the 6th Dragoons.
