ATTEMPTED GAOL BREAKING.
(Ffer Press Association.) CHHISTCHtiRCH, July 29. Dennett, one at the men sentenced for the recent Atnberley burglary, was discovered trying to break out of the Addington gaol. Ho had crcted two cold chisels from the workshop, but Mr Cleary, the gaoler, hearing auspicious tapping near the tailor's shop, found the prisoner in a tank under the floor. The nails of the man-hols bad been drawn, and the holes concealed with tailors' chippings, ftennetit /lit] a lead-head-ed malle't, a lauii', two chisels, and two suita of clothe.- 'ftp trousers ol one suit wei v .
