ATTEMPT TO BRIBE A WITNESS. (Received July 29, 1.5 a.m.) 9YOKEY. July 28. There has been another sensational development at the Land Commission. John Haynes, on oath, stated that on the 13tb Inst. W. B. Melville asked him to stay his hand in regard to Willis, urging that witness had now vindicated his own character. Uclvilie made an offer of £SOO. and as a proof of authority presented a telegram from Per On. Altogether three telegrams were produc* ed.
