SERIOUS SHOOTING ACCIDENTS.
(Per Press Association.) GISBORNE, July 9®. Kdward Kennedy, aged 17, employed on Mr W. Richardson's station at W-aimata Valley, went out this morning to round the sheep, and ■took a gun with him to shoot turkeys. On firing the gun it burst, shattering his left hand, which l.a.i to be amputated. Another shooting accident is reported lrom Waimata district. A gun beld by a man walking belrind a Maori accidentally went off, and shot the Maori in the leg. -His injuries are serious.
