THE AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL.

(Per Press Association.) ELTHAM, July 25. The programme of the New Zealand Axemen's Association Championship Carnival at Ell-bam on Dec. 26 and 27 has been drawn up. The prize money has been increased to £312 of which £262 is for chopping and sawing events, and £SO for running and cycling. The first prize in the Axemen's-Dip of £l5O has been increased to £lO5, and it is now the largest chopping prize in Australasia. An 18-inch underhand and 2-feet double-handed sawing championship have been added to the programme
