LABOURER SHOOTS HIMSELF.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 25. A young Waihi labourer named Frank T. Rose shot himself in the forehead with a revolver this afternoon in a bedroom at the Thames Hotel. He had been ill in bed for a week in consequence of a strained back. He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, and there is no hope of his recovery.
