A NEW OPERA HOUSE.
(Per Press Association.) i'ALMEHSTON _N., July 11!. The new Opera House, which has cost about £10,500, and which is one of the largest and most up-to-date, in the colonies, was opened by the Mayor aind Mayoress to-day, in the presence of about two thousand i Citizen?, It will ho used, for the first time on Friday for an orchestral concert, in which Miss Amy Murphy, Messrs Fred Graham, Maughan Harnett, and others will participate, in aid of the funds of the |hospital. Tickets have sold readily at from X.2 as to 5a and already £;550 w.orth of seal's have been booked.
