It is, says the Chronicle, with regret we announce the death of another of Wanganui's old residents, in the person of Mr Michael Mahoncy, who passed away at his farm Brunswick, last week, at the age of 75 years. The deceased came to New Zealand half a century ago, landing here in 1851 with his regiment, the well'temeaibered old Sixty-fifth and with the exception of two years in Taranaki, where he Went with his regimemb [during the Maori trouble in that province, he has resided here ever since, having taken up his land at Brunswick on receiving his discharge.
