V.R.C. GRAND NATIONAL. (Received July 8, 7.26 p.m.) MELBOURNB, July 8. The V.R.C. committee decided to allow t|ie New Zealand horses to run in the Grand National Steeplechase, which resulted -.—Bellis 1, Isis 2, Krror 3. Belting ; ti to 1 against Bellis, who was favourite. Freedom. Springfield and Airly led alternately until reaching the abattoirs the second time, when lie former, who was in the van, and a number of others came to grief. Springfield carried on the running over the last jump, but at the turn for home Bellis and Isis came up fast, and, cuttitig down the leader, fought out a good finish, Bellis winning by three lengths in (imiii 31scc. Up-toDate finished seventh.
