BROTHER AND SISTER DROWNED.
A TRAOFHV TOLD BY FOOTPRINTS. (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, July 3. A sad drown ng fatality occurred! at Clivc this afternoon, resulting il the death of a young woman named Miller, eighteen years of ago, land) her brother, a lad of fourteen years, .the children of Mr H. Miller, a small farmer. It is not known exactly how the'drowning occurred, but, as the footsteps of both have licen traced to tho river, close to which the family lived, it would »<em as though the boy had wandered on •<> the river bonk ami faih-n in. and that his sister had seen the occursencC and rushed to his assistance, and been -drowned in trying to rvstU him. The ste)« of the young woman were m a de apart as though she had U-n running. The body of the girl was recovered, but so far P"> body of the boy has not buen found.
