A number of witnesses gave evidence as to everything having ' been carried on j quietly and with , good order at the Gardens booth, and also in connection iwith other booths.
For the petitioners, evidence -was called as to the sobriety of a previous witness, and as to the closing of the Pine Hill booths before 7 o'clock. It is expected the hearing of evidence will be concluded ito-morr<iw.
