Harbour Works.

In his monthly report to the Harbour Board on Friday the foreman of works at the Breakwater (Mr F. Henderson) stated : Wharf Extension.—Ten piles have beun drift-eri, comprising two bays, the corresponding headstocks' andl longitudinal stringers have been fitted in, and 20ft in length has been decked.

The totnl length of the now extensisn.' now completed is over 50 l. Th? diantity of material used in tHis totals 4568 tons of stone, 24 Concrete blocks, and 283 cubic yards of C:yncreto. Forty-four Cp»crete blocks are still on hand, and about 900 tons of stono quarried und ready for use. The quarry crane has not yet been shifted, as the quality of the stone obtained has improved greatly sinco my last report. '
