DUNEDIN, Juno 15/ At the annual meeting- of the Dairying Association it was resolved that further endeavours be made tci i;ct a substantial reduction on firo insurance premiums on factory buildings and creameries. | The question of the contract foJ the carriage of butter and cheese was discussed, and after Mr Ildlt (Taiori and Peninsula) had taken exception to the new contract, which was explained and ■'. defended by Mr ' Harkness, secretary of the North Island Dairy Association, It was resolved) to approve of what U>c committee, had done in arranging and signing the contract.

The Dairy Association meeting this! evening passed a resolution to prepare a scheme for registration under the Companies Act, on the principle of a company limited by guarantee.

It was resolved to strongly urge tho Government to start, and enjiilp at once, an experimental station for the Dairy Department, as it is urgently required, and that all factories be circularised to Help in the matter.

It was made a recommendation to the committee to communicate with' this North Islanft Dairy. Assbciatiom with a view to establishing ahjoanj to control the disposal of tho output of dairy produce from New Zealand, on the Dan sh or other principle, on 9 to gather information on the sub(ject. It Was resolved that tho inspection of milk' and milking yards supply dairy foctforJes should at once be put under the control of the Dairy Department, and hjualiflod men appointed to instruct suppliers.
