Fatal Railway Accident.
A CHILD FALLS OFF. When the express train was Hearing lnrfewoDd Wednesday a most unfortunate accident occurred. Mrs Jamca Kerr, of Newtown, Wellington, was traveling south with her two girls, when one of them, a child) oi' six years, passing to the refresh' ment car, fell between tho carriages. The train was stopped as soon aa possible, and the poor little sufferer picked up, but it was found thati she was seriously injured, one of hcr.» legs being cut oil. Dr. Nutting was requisitioned, and . after doing all he could for the child, advis.di hor removal! to the Uhwcr a Hospital.She was therefore taken on by train. Mr Kerr is thle w,ife of a telegraphist, who was recently transferred from Newtown, Wellington, to Wanganui. A Hawera message states that, the child died in the hospital.
