Boring at Moturoa.
There is nothing fresh to report in j regard to the petroleum boring enterprise at Moruroa. Horing was not continued on Wednesday, as the manager deemed it wise to havq the cap ready before piercing th& ironstone stratum which has now been reached. Tho work ivill be resumed to-day as soon as tho cap is delivered, and the manager is quito confident of striK'iig tho flow before the bore has proceeded many foot further. The sample of crude oil obtained on Tuesday was on view at the office of the secretary, Mr J).Laing, on Wednesday, and excited 1 considerable interest. The shareholders are quite buoyant, and woiilft not part, with thclir interests.
The Company has an option over tho lease «f seven' or eight tKousand' acres of land, including the sites of practically all the bores put down in the past. If successl is attained, a resumption of work at one or two of these sites is in view. I
