TEMPERANCE CRUSADE.
(Pes Press Association.) OAMAP.U, Juno 1. The Ucv. Father Hays celebrated Muss in the Itoinun Catholic Church at Oaumj-u this morning. Last evening, on, arrival, he received u public reception by the Muyi r and citizens at the railway station. A great demonstration was held later, the largest hall in town being crowded. The Mayor, Mr Milligan, who presided, welcomed I''alhel Mays in the name of the citizens. The Ucv. C. Potior, on behalf of the Protestant churches, and Mr Cagney, for the Itoman Catholics, delivered addresses of welcome. The Hon. G. Jones and ArchdcacoA Gould expressed sympathy with the cause.. Father Hays spoke for nearly two hours, and u(, the close of the address !JUO (,ook the pledge, (hie half of those present were Woman Catholics.
