Waitara West Road Board.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The members present at the monthly meeting of the above Hoard wero: Messrs T. TuriAgull (chairman), French, and lleUier. Correspondence was read from Mr Jt T. Mills, complaining thut his rules had not been collected ; from Mr 11. Bowman, stating that he luid placed tha dispute with regard to land taken for deviating Kelly Koad in bis solicitor's hands : and from Mr J. Hlne, re raising loan on Ever,ott H«ad.

The returning officer reported that 110 nominations had been received for tho vacancies on the Hoard, and that ho had again noUfled that nominations would bo received. It was decided to hold tho annual meeting" of ratepayers on tho duy of the election

The chairman reported that Mr |Cartwr%ht had completed |?ie replying of old metal on lie Kelly ilioad.

J he .surfaceman w«s directed to prepare a site for the culvert on Mumuku Road, also to fence Jfr Welch's land al Swtry Hill.
