THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.
THE SITE GRANTED.; (Per Press Association.) CIIRISTCHURCII, May -25. A deputation' from the Executive of the International Exhibition waited on the Domain Hoard, and askedi that a site for the exhiljition should In? granted in North Hagley Park, in the vicinity of the Victoria Lake site. The proposal affected 124 acres which included the laki; and river. It was stated that an Act of Parliament would probably bo necessary to empower the exhibition authorities to make a chargo for admission to the exhibition. It was decided to grant tho application made, provided that cycling and other paths were kept open as long as possible, and that the Hoard is recouped for revenue lost with regard to the por- 1 tion of the site now leased for grazing purposes, and also any expense they may be put to in restoring the purk to its original condition at the. close of the exhibition,
