BURNSIDE MARKET REPORT. Press Association.) DUKEDIN, May 10. Fat cattle.—l9s were yarded, which proved in excess of retirements, and a good many, were not sold. Several pm of prime oxen realised' late rates, but other sorts were neglected. Beat bullocks £>9 to £lO 7s 6d, medium #7. to p #B* *. Fat sheep,—l4o7 were Penned, principally good wethers, with, a fair number of medium and aged ewes. Prices it the beginning were at last week's rates, but to•wards the end were lightly easier. Best wethers 23s to 265, one pen of extra heavy 27s M, medium do. 19s Gd to 21s 6d, best ewes 20s to 235, one pen of extra haavy 25», others 10s to 19«. Lambs. —323 were penned. Prices were practically the same as last week. Best lambs 16s to 17®, onu pen ol extra heavy 18s, others 14s to 16s. Bigs.—Suckers and slips sold practically at last week's rales, while the market for porkers and baconers was somewhat firmer. Suckers 8s (id to 12s, slips 13s to 16s, stores 17s to 235, porkers 35s to 15s, light baconers 46s to 555, heavy do. 57s to 665, choppers up to 755. DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. DUNEDIX, May 10.
Wheat.—Tho market is dull, as sellers decline to accept, the lower, rates offered. A fair local demand, exists (or good wheat. The sale o( Linwood sheep tQ-day showed '-hat the market is still dropping -back. One thousand — ~ tooths bought at the Mararoa sale a few weeks ago are now bringing only 17s B<l. Thirteen thousand odd eood tussock shecfp brought £10,571, in average of 16s, and 222 rains £777. All the sheep remain in the district. Romney rams sold very wetl from H to 2|gs, Merino do.
