EG MONT R.C. WINTER MEETING. ANTICIPATIONS BY "MOTCROA." The winter meeting of the Egmont Racing Club will take place to-day and Thursday. The fields for the first day are well up to the average. and the winners appear well concealed. The Railway Handicap, six furlongs, is the opening event, Mania--.g.to heading the list with 10.0, including 5B? penalty for his win at Hawke's Boy. It is rumoured about town that he will not be a competitor nt the meeting, but up to tho time of writing- no official information has'been rcct'iypd. If Maniupoto starts one need look no farther for the winner. Of the others Hustfquc ami Chola are a pair that must take a lot of beating. The former registered two good performances at the Wairarapa. meeting. Chola Won as he liked in the Mnhutu Welter, one mile, th"e thjrd day of the A.R.C. meeting in a field of twelve, cutting out the mile in tho fast time of lmin 42 l-ssfic. Crimson Lake, if in form, should run well up with her light impost. To separate them I shall take Chola 1, llustfejue 2, Crimson Lake 3, provided Maniapoto does not run.-

TRIPLE DISQUALIFICATION. (Per Press Association.) CHHISTCUIRCH, May 9. The stewards of the Christchtirch Jockey Club to-day decided to disqualify the jockey (L. King), the trainer (.1. Lewis), and the horse Manjess for twelve months for deliberate pulling in the Welter Handicap at the ChriMtcßsrch Racing Club's meeting lu*t Saturday. DINEDLV WINTER MEETING POSTPONED.
