Electric Lighting Scheme.
The electric lighting committee recommended to Monday's Borougli Council meeting (1) that the eloct'-i----cal engineer be authorised to place the following order with the General Electric Company : 23 transiornwrs, £375 10s ; and 551 induction meters, £195 10s (id. (2; That consumers be. notified that the Council is picpared to indent motors for them, and that only motors approved by the electrical engineer will ho permitted to he installed. (3) That the clcetri'cul engineer be authorised to purchase 50 quarter and 50 half ampere Nernst lamps. The report was adopted. The engineer reported that Mr Mestayer. the architect, would be in New j Plymouth in a few days, with tho plans of the power house.
