The season will open on Thursday next, when the New Plymouth A. team will m\iy Inglewood on the racecourse ground, play commencing it 3 o'clock. The I!, team will play Harrington Koad ~• on the hitler's {round at .'! p.m. The following will represent the New Plymouth A. team :—Crawford, Avery, .Scon, Day, ileal, Aplin, Cathro, Vcalc, Lints, Mucey, Woodnouse. 11. team.—Howell, Price, Iray, Cutlield, Oeorge, Stocki-r, Ctitdeld. linker, Avery, Dixon, Pagan. On Saturday afternoon a. friendlj gume was played on the racecourse, between the Nhuknlika (.'iris' HocKey Club, captained by Miss PoroLhy Simpson, and a newly-formed girls' club captained by Miss Simpion. The Whakatikas were too strong for their opponents, winning •asily. On Saturday next the WhaialiUas will visit llawua to piny he Girls' Club there. On Thursday the Cup fixture at New Plymouth is New Plymouth v. Inslewood A.
