mial meeting, held on Easter Monday, an aged gelding by Kulnine, owning the name of "Noxious Weed." appropriated <hc first two events on tho programme. He won the Hack Hurdles, one mile and a half, by fifteen lengths from a field of four, and was immediately saddled up fur the Maiden Plate, one mile, w.f.a., beating a held of nine by four lengths. A similar performance was registered by Almanau (Stepntak—Rainbow) on the same divtc at the Beaumont J.C. meeting. Almanac accounted for two one mile races! in succession. He was also pulled out again for the last event, finishing third 1 . At tho Feilding Jockey Club's autumn meeting the handicaps for the second day's races were compiled by Mr LTric Shannon ("Advance"),
whose work was rewarded by large fields and some sterling finishes.
