! A very pleasing function took place on the Wunganui Bowling Green on Wednesday afternoon, when Mr Hemus, who is leaving that district, was the recipient of a substantial indication of Ms popularity and of tho good feeling of his many friends among tho trawlers.
Miss Devenish, who has been a member and one of the most regular attendants at St. Mary's Choir for the past 16 years has severed her connection with that body.
